Mayor Bruce Lane has proudly called Lula home for more than 23 years. He and his wife, Katrina, have been married for 22 years and have built their life in the community they deeply value. Together they have two sons and are the proud grandparents of seven grandchildren.
Mayor Lane is a U.S. Army veteran and brings a strong sense of service and commitment to both his country and his community. Professionally, he has spent more than 35 years working in the transportation and logistics industry, where he developed extensive experience in operations, planning, and problem-solving.
Prior to being elected Mayor, he served for one year on the Lula Planning Commission, gaining firsthand experience with the city’s planning and development process and helping review land use and zoning matters affecting the community.
A man of faith and community involvement, Mayor Lane attends Air Line Baptist Church where he enjoys serving alongside his church family. He is also known around town for his spirited role as the town “Grinch” during the annual Lula Christmas Parade—a tradition that residents have come to enjoy each year. When he’s not working or serving the community, Mayor Lane enjoys cooking and is well known for preparing some outstanding barbecue for church gatherings, community events, and friends.
With deep roots in the community and a dedication to public service, Mayor Lane is committed to helping guide Lula’s continued growth while preserving the small-town values that make the city a special place to live and raise a family.
